Council advertises three new directorships
Date published: 11 November 2008
RECRUITING has begun for the three directorships at Oldham Council. All three posts, plus a new assistant chief executive, will command salaries of up to £140,000 a year.
They are being advertised by the council’s recruitment consultant, Tribal, and the closing date for applications is Monday, November 24.
New chief executive Charlie Parker wants to slash the current five executive director posts to three. He believes the council is overstaffed in comparison with similar-sized authorities, and the move will save £200,000 a year.
