POLICE have gone on camera to show how extra funds have boosted the number of officers patrolling Greater Manchester’s streets.
A short film featuring the work of the additional officers, funded through council tax cash, is now available for all to see.
Greater Manchester Police Authority put an extra 104 officers on the streets earlier this year.
News is now spreading of the precept agreement, with the film launched at a national conference for agencies involved in crime and reduction work.
Each of the 12 police divisions, including Oldham, received at least one sergeant and five PCs.
GMPA executive director Russell Bernstein said: “ We are accountable to local people. They are our most important partners and we believe it’s vital for them to be as informed as possible about our work.”
The film footage is available for everyone to view on the latest news area of the GMPA website www.gmpa.gov.uk.
