Transport roadshow hits town
Date published: 13 November 2008
OLDHAMERS are being urged to drop in for a chat about public transport at a surgery on Saturday.
The session, between 11am and 1pm, will be held at Oldham bus station and hosted by Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority (GMPTA).
Representatives from the bus and train operators serving Oldham have also been invited.
Councillor John Dillon, GMPTA spokesman for Oldham borough, said: “This will be the fourth drop-in session in Oldham this year.
“It’s really important we get the public’s feedback on their local bus and train services so that we can identify any areas for improvement.
“I would urge anyone who uses public transport to come along and let us know how they think we and our partners might be able to improve services further.”
GMPTA is holding four transport drop-in sessions in all 10 districts of Greater Manchester.
