FOOTBALLERS from Springhead FC are hoping to net a whole load of charity cash this weekend for Children in Need.
Players from the club’s three teams and ladies section will be wearing Pudsey armbands during this weekend’s matches.
All 260 players, as well as managers, committee members and supporters, are being encouraged to donate £1 to the charity and help raise lots of money for children everywhere.
Paula Revell, development manager, said: “This will be the first time we have done anything like this for Children in Need.
“Last Christmas, we raised funds to buy elderly residents some seasonal hampers so we are keen to continue charity work.”
