Verdict changed
Date published: 13 November 2008
A CORONER has changed the verdict originally recorded at an Oldham inquest, in June, on Julie Anne Beard, a 31-year-old nurse of Ashton Road West, Failsworth.
The verdict of death from natural causes was changed yesterday to a verdict of accidental death after a review.
At the earlier hearing, natural causes was indicated by degeneration of her liver. But yesterday deputy coroner Barrie Williams said the cause of death was given as acute alcohol poisoning and his review indicated accidental death as the correct verdict.
