Young runners take up challenge

They’re Off... year 3 and 4 girls set off on the cross country race at the CPD, Fitton Hill
AND they’re off . . . hundreds of young runners braved the cold and rain to take part in the Oldham Schools Cross-country League.
Children aged between five and 10 participated in the race which started at the Centre for Professional Development in Fitton Hill. Overall, Thorp Primary claimed first place followed by Hodge Clough Juniors and Mills Hill Primary. The final fixture in the series will be held at Alexandra Park on November 29, when the overall champions will be crowned.
