Crash site on Middleton Road, Chadderton where three people were killed
AN INQUEST into the deaths of three people killed in a Chadderton car smash is expected to be opened early next week.
Paul Bunting (30), Christopher Morrison (23) and Cassie Fox (19) all died when the rented Vauxhall Vectra they were travelling in ploughed into a garden wall in Middleton Road after a high-speed police persuit on Sunday morning.
Another passenger, 18-year-old mother-of-two Claire Matthews, remains critically ill in Hope Hospital, Salford.
A police patrol car had attempted to stop the Vectra after it ran a red light in Mumps but the car sped off with officers in pursuit.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission has concluded that the officers acted properly and there will be no further investigation.
The damaged front of the house where the car struck has been covered up by police. And the crash site is strewn with flowers left by grieving family, friends and well-wishers.
