OWNERS of a tanning business in Hollinwood were left glowing after being presented with an award . . . for the tidiest shop.
The business in Hollins Road, scooped the accolade after residents voted it as having the tidiest premises, displays and exterior.
The award was created by the former Hollinwood Community Council to recognise and reward businesses in the area.
Councillor Stephen Barrow, community champion, said: “The award not only means a lot to the owners as it recognises all the hard work and dedication they clearly have, but also the people of Hollinwood as a whole.
“It’s local people who nominated the shop and voted for the winner.
“I’ve championed the small business in Hollinwood for a long time. Even though the news is filled with stories about slowing economy, it’s good to see so many small businesses doing well.”
Deana Harrison, manager, thanked the voters and the customers who supported the shop over the past seven years.
She said: “We are all very proud of our achievement and fully intend to maintain as well as improve on our high standards of customer care.”
