FUTURE students can take a tour of new facilities and software at University Centre Oldham during a special open day.
The information evening will focus on multimedia design, multimedia games art, digital arts practice, and architectural technology and interior design.
The event will showcase the recently opened University Studios and will give tutors and people working in local industry the opportunity to view first-hand the type of amenities available to students.
UCO currently offers foundation degrees in multimedia design and multimedia games art and there is now a progression route to a BA(Hons) top-up degree in digital arts practice.
The equipment available in these areas includes two dedicated computer suites, featuring graphic workstations.
Students on the course also have access to the latest design and modelling software.
Students on the foundation degree in architectural technology and interior design also have access to a studio and teaching is enhanced by the use of a digital sound system and a digital overhead projector.
The event takes place at the University Studios, Cromwell Street, tomorrow, from 4.30pm.
