Spanish do does job for Duchenne

A CHARITY has said olé to £700 after generous regulars at the Three Crowns, Scouthead, raised money at a tapas night.
Landlord Ray Hicks regularly holds such events and this time the money was handed to the Action Duchenne charity, which raises funds for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a severe muscle wasting condition.
Tony Ackroyd, whose grandson Edward Ackroyd is a sufferer, said: “One of our friends knows Ray quite well and when she requested that one of his charity nights benefit Action Duchenne he was happy to oblige.
“We are absolutely delighted with the donation as it helps to raise the profile of this devastating condition.”
