Housing plan for quarry
Date published: 01 December 2008
THE owners of the former Springhead Quarry, which has been vacant for some time, want to develop it for housing with a new access road from Cooper Street.
Plans of the development have been drawn up and an application is likely to be submitted in the new year.
As part of the public consultation exercise, an exhibition will be staged at Springhead Liberal Club, Oldham Road, today (4-6pm).
Alan Chorlton, of Chorlton Planning, commented: “The architect and I will be there to explain and to listen to residents’ views. Alternatively, we could meet residents privately.”
He can be contacted on 0161-624 3001.
