OLDHAM Mayor Councillor Shoab Akhtar opened a special Christmas tree festival in Shaw.
There were more than 20 sparkling trees on display at Holy Trinity Church, which were donated by various charities including MacMillan nurses, The Royal British Legion and St John’s Guide Dogs for the Blind.
The Mayor officially opened the festival on Friday, attended by more than 250 people.
Many children also supported the event and pupils from Crompton Primary School sponsored a Christmas tree.
