Armed gang jailed for 34 years

ARMED raiders who threatened to kill a woman assistant at the Halifax Bank, Shaw, before stealing £30,000, have been jailed for a total of 34 years.
Manchester Crown Court heard that the five-man gang, whose members believed they were untouchable, went to the bank armed with a knife and sledgehammer. They also targeted houses, a building society, and other commercial premises. The five men who admitted conspiracy to rob were: Christopher Ryder (23), of Chorlton, who was jailed for eight years; Curtis Tucker (26), of Fallowfield, and David Boyd (24), of Blackley, both jailed for seven and a half years; Jerome Barlow, (20), of Moston (seven years) and David Hodgin (22), also of Moston, (four and a half years).
