Modellers’ exhibition is on the right track
Date published: 04 December 2008
THE world of railways was displayed in miniature at Saddleworth Museum and Art Gallery.
There were five eye-catching layouts exhibited by the Huddersfield-based Model Railway Society covering different eras of rail travel, including steam in the Sixties in the North of England and the American mid-west. More than 300 people attended and proceeds helped swell the funds of the museum.
Further model railway shows are due to be held in Saddleworth in June and November next year.
