AN Oldham man has been charged with three offences of attempted murder after allegedly dousing people in methylated spirit.
Michael Marler (49), of Cardwell Street, Oldham, appeared before Oldham Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
He is accused of trying to kill two women, aged 36 and 65, and a 67-year-old man.
The case relates to an incident at 4.30pm on Sunday (30) when the three people were doused in the poisonous alcohol, which is highly flammable and can cause blindness or death if consumed.
Police were called to Higher Lime Road, Hollinwood, and Marler was arrested. A 36-year-old woman was taken to hospital, but has since been discharged.
