Former Beirut hostage Terry Waite will be in Mossley tomorrow for the Emmaus charity’s open day.
The previously homeless residents work full-time on collecting, refurbishing and selling donated goods in on-site shops. Terry Waite is the UK president.
Jeanne Hutchinson, administrator at Emmaus Mossley, said: “We felt it would be a good idea to open our doors to local communities so that they can see and experience all that goes on behind the scenes.”
The event starts at 10am at Longlands Mill in Queen Street.
