POLICE are trying to piece together the last days of a man who died after apparently setting fire to himself on Oldham Edge.
Cleaner Ian Taylor (46), of Bankside Close, Oldham, was last seen at 7.30am on Saturday, November 22. He was found engulfed in flames near St Stephen and Martyrs School three days later.
Ian, who leaves a partner and children, is described as 5ft 5ins tall, heavily built with shaven hair and a greying beard. He was wearing a khaki coat, green check shirt, beige trousers and flip-flops.
An inquest has yet to be opened. Police inquiries are continuing, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
