LOCAL police officers came together to share the warmth of the season and enjoy a good festive sing-song.
Members of the Oldham Division staged a carol concert at East Crompton St James Church, in Shaw, with a little help from the Crompton House orchestra and senior girls choir.
Chief Supt Caroline Ball thanked her officers for their hard work over the year and wished them all a very merry Christmas.
In between the traditional carols, readings were given by Ella Milovanovic, daughter of Insp Danny Milovanovic, Chief Supt Ball, Special Constable Robert Drysdale (Greater Manchester Police Special of the Year) and Insp Colette Rose, of the Royton and Shaw Neighbourhood Policing Team.
A collection was taken for the Oldham Children’s Holiday Home Project which helps youngsters with a disability.
The charity offers financial support to children and their families to visit the Glan Gwna Country Park in Gwynedd, Wales.
