IT’S CHRISTMAS TIME... and umbrella time: over 70 people braved the rain to sing carols in Uppermill
AN outdoor carol service in Saddleworth was hailed a big success — despite a deluge of rain.
More than 70 people turned up to the Churches Together “Carols Round the Tree” service.
Children from Greenfield Primary School and Delph band were among those who joined in the service outside the Methodist Church in Uppermill.
Frank Rowe, minister at Ebenezer Congregational Church, Uppermill, said: “It went really well despite the rain. Everybody really enjoyed themselves.”
