THE towns and villages may be aglow with Christmas lights, but it’s not just the district centres which are sparkling, as these seasonal snaps show.
Oldhamers across the borough are defying the gloomy winter nights and embracing the festivities with their very own spectacular lights displays.
Residents hoping to spread some Christmas cheer have adorned their homes and gardens with glittering fairy lights and bright colours.
From old cottages in Saddleworth to more modern homes in Royton, Santa’s little helpers have defied the freezing temperatures to string colourful lights outside their homes.
And they don’t restrict themselves to traditional white lights — it’s with zany snowmen and sparkling Christmas bells, that this army of Christmas lovers have created a warm winter’s welcome sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face.
