MFI crash: customers ‘must queue’
Date published: 18 December 2008
UP to 15,000 customers of failed flat-pack furniture chain MFI are still waiting to hear if they will get their goods.
At the time of its collapse, the store, including the Oldham branch in Green Street, said it would fulfil customer orders.
Administrators Menzies Corporate Restructuring (MCR) said it was in negotiations to sell remaining stock, but added there was no guarantee that the buyer would be able to complete orders.
Customers who paid by debit card, cash or cheque, will have to join other creditors in the wait to find out if they will get anything back.
