STAFF at a Chadderton primary school put on a Christmas spectacular to the delight of pupils.
Teachers, assistants and office workers at Yew Tree School showed off an array of talent in the performance of their pantomime “Paddington Bear’s Christmas”, penned by headteacher Martine Buckley.
It featured musical instruments, dancing snowmen, magic and sound and light effects. The play told the story of Paddington Bear attempting to get back to Peru to see Aunt Lucy for Christmas — and meeting some unhelpful characters before the Christmas fairy magics Aunt Lucy to London to spend Christmas together.
Mrs Buckley said: “We used everyone’s skills and a lot went into it. The children absolutely loved it.”
And pupils can relive the entertainment as they will be given a DVD of the performance.
