Armed raid terror

A MAN was threatened by armed thugs in masks as he was loading a van outside the computer shop where he works.
The three-strong gang threatened him with an axe, hammer and baseball bat in Old Road, Failsworth, at 4.25pm on Tuesday.
One of the men shouted at him to get back in the shop. In fear, he ran back inside — and out of the front entrance.
The armed trio then burst into the shop and stole a computer.
One man is described as 6ft tall, of thin build, wearing dark clothing and a balaclava.
The other two wore dark clothing and one had a balaclava.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
Det Con Rob Kennedy, of Oldham CID, said: “These men threatened violence against a man who was simply trying to do his job.
“They seem to have no problem in using the threat of weapons to get what they want and they need to be caught.
“If anyone witnessed the incident or if you saw the men before or after the attack, please call us.”
Anyone with information should call police on 0161-856 8951 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
