THE New Year barely had time to settle in when Oldham’s newborns made a welcome appearance at the Royal Oldham Hospital — maternity staff helped deliver nine bundles of joy yesterday, with the first baby arriving at 12.17am.
Little cutie Charlie Morgan Watson weighed in at healthy 8lbs at 10.25am to proud parents Elizabeth Morgan and Michael Watson (the family is pictured above by Chronicle photographer Darren Robinson).
Staff said it had been quite a busy New Year’s Day for deliveries.
