‘Channel’ swimmers go to great lengths

SUPER swimmers took the plunge at Crompton Pool to raise £600 for charity.
Lesley Massey, from Shaw, Anna Rennie, from Oldham, and Frank Angelicas and Alan Rennie, both from Rochdale, swam the Aspire channel swim challenge.
Each completed a 22-mile swim at the pool, the equivalent of 1,584 lengths, over a three-month period. The money will go to the charity Aspire which supports people with spinal injuries. Pictured are Anna Stott, left, and Lesley Massey.
