College to show off plans
Date published: 12 January 2009
OLDHAM College has rescheduled a meeting about its plans to run one of the borough’s new academy schools.
The meeting, cancelled in December due to bad weather, will now take place on Tuesday. Parents can attend from 4.30-5.30pm and prospective parents and the public from 5.30-6.30pm.
The academy at the former Orb Mill site will replace Breeze Hill and Counthill schools and take up to 1,500 pupils. It is part of Oldham’s £230 million Building Schools for the Future proposals.
Oldham College’s proposals, including governance and admissions, are on-line at www.oldham.ac.uk/academy.
Feedback forms can be downloaded and returned to Kate Davies, c/o The Oldham College, Rochdale Road, Oldham, OL9 6AA, by February 20.
