Dropping in on Hollinwood . . . Housing Units’s doorman Fred Waterfield welcomes pilot Brian Kennedy and his colleagues
WHEN Housing Units took a telephone call from a customer saying he was dropping in for a coffee table, staff at the Hollinwood store thought it was a routine pick-up.
The caller asked for space to be freed up on the car park — which was unusual as the parking area is quite large and the table wasn’t that big...
All was revealed when the he told them he needed to land a helicopter.
Housing Units director Nick Fox said: “This came out of the blue — literally. We received a call from a customer who said he was dropping by to collect some furniture for a family friend and he asked us could we clear some space.
Housing Units doorman Fred Waterfield was quick to lend a hand to South Manchester businessman and pilot Brian Kennedy who is also the chairman of Sale Sharks rugby union team, as the table was loaded.
