TWO Oldham Council workers who had sex in an office window in front of a cheering crowd of onlookers have resigned.
The Evening Chronicle revealed the steamy incident in August when the pair romped for so long that a crowd of 20 people gathered to watch and cheer.
Their employers, Unity Partnership, contracted by Oldham Council to improve public services, suspended the pair and launched a full investigation.
They have both now resigned, though their bosses refused to disclose the results of the investigation or confirm or deny that they were asked to leave.
A statement said: “Following the alleged incident, the two individuals concerned have subsequently resigned and the matter is now closed.”
The amorous couple were spotted naked at a window at the offices outside Henshaw House, Cheapside in Oldham town centre at 10.30am on a Friday.
The 20-minute encounter only stopped when a PCSO went inside to let them know they were being observed.
