AN armed gang threatened staff at an Oldham betting shop before stealing money and running away.
The masked trio forced staff at the Coral Bookmakers in Huddersfield Road to stand with their backs against the wall in the raid at 5.45pm on Sunday.
The men threatened employees with batons and stole money from the till. They also forced the cashier to open a number of gaming machines and took out cartridges containing cash which they stuffed into a carrier bag.
Police are now appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
One of the offenders was wearing a blue scarf and another spoke with an Asian accent.
Det Sgt Darren Grafton based at Oldham CID said: “We want to hear from anyone who may have seen this gang going in or out of the bookmakers or hanging around the area acting suspiciously. It is vital we catch these men before they strike again.”
THREE masked men threatened staff at a Ladbrokes bookmakers in Hollins Road, at 6.50pm yesterday.
