Date published: 16 January 2009
A SPRINGHEAD woman has pleaded for the return of a camcorder and digital camera which recorded her 50th birthday celebrations .
Christine Martyniuk’s son recorded the celebration on Saturday at the White Hart in Lydgate. He got into a taxi with three other family members at about 1.15am on Sunday and was dropped off at the Village Pizza in Lees at about 1.30am, leaving the equipment in the cab.
Christine said: “Unfortunately he can’t remember which taxi firm it was. We only know that it was a white car with red lettering on the side.”
The Kodak camera and Canon DVD camcorder were both silver coloured and in a black carry case.
Christine said: “There were people at my party who I hadn’t seen for years and lots of close family and friends and it’s very important to me that I can see it.
Anyone who finds the equipment should contact Christine on 07947-104 497 or drop off the items at Oldham police station.
