THREE men charged with handling stolen goods following the theft of passports worth £2.5 million from a Chadderton printers have been remanded in custody pending committal proceedings to Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court on February 19.
Muneer Hussain (29) of Dearnalay Way, Oldham, Jawad Karim (18) of Vicarage Street, Oldham, and Mohammed Shanawaz (23) of Old Lane, Chadderton, were arrested after 3,000 blank passports went missing en route from 3M Security Printing and Systems in Chadderton to RAF Northolt in July last year.
