Travellers move on but leave behind their rubbish
Travellers have been forced to leave the former B&Q car park at Mumps — but left their rubbish behind.
The 20 caravans and vans moved off yesterday after the private owners of the land took action.
Police were on hand to see the departure passed off without incident, and the clean up began shortly afterwards. The land is normally used as a public car park, and also has a public footpath across it to the underpass to Mumps station.
The debris included refuse sacks and huge slabs of tarmac and soil.
