A ROUSING night of musical entertainment provided a £1,200 boost for charity. A concert by the Navigation Band and MC Gilbert Symes organised by Phil Beck was held at Uppermill Civic Hall.
The money raised will be split between the Saddleworth Royal British Legion and the Yorkshire Day committee. Mr Symes suggested the event should support the Legion as his three sons serve in the Army.
