A GREEN haulage company backed by two of TV’s “Dragons’ Den” millionaires could survive the credit crunch by being sold, according to the Manchester firm of accountants called in as administrators.
JPM Eco Logistics, of Woodstock Business Park, Meek Street, Royton, faces disaster after receiving a winding-up petition from Lincolnshire biofuel supplier MPB, which claims it is owed more than £20,000 dating from last June.
But the order has now been stayed until February.
Manchester insolvency specialists Tenon Recovery is looking to sell the business and is in discussions with a number of interested parties.
Jeremy Woodside, director at Tenon Recovery, said: “The UK’s current economic situation has adversely impacted on the haulage sector and with a recent move to new premises also creating challenges, JPM Eco Logistics Limited has found itself unable to sustain progress.
“We are in talks with a number of interested parties, with a view to selling the business, and are hopeful of a positive outcome.”
