POLICE took to the skies to track down a thief in an unconventional crime bust.
Officers received reports of a burglary on Pastures Lane, Scouthead, on Sunday morning and wasted no time in harnessing the force helicopter to track down the suspects.
Knowsley residents looked on as the helicopter hovered above their homes for an hour from 9.30, before a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
