AN art exhibition by students at Oldham Sixth Form College is dominating the Saddleworth Art Gallery in Uppermill.
The 11th annual show featuring fine art, graphics and 3D opened at the weekend with guests deputy Mayor Councillor Jim McArdle and deputy Mayoress, Councillor Kay Knox.
The works will be displayed until February 13, and include examples of students’ work from their two-year art course.
Head of art, Malcolm Stanbra, said: “As in previous exhibitions we have tried to select work that is interesting, challenging, traditional and innovative as well as choosing pieces which reflect the diverse range of courses.
“Fantastic examples of fine art, graphics, textiles, creative, ceramic design and applied art and design are all on show here created by the stars of tomorrow and is a testament to the prodigious talent being nurtured here in the community.”
