Heroin worth £50k recovered from car

AN OLDHAM man has appeared in court after police in Scotland found heroin with an estimated street value of £50,000 in a car.
Martin Edward James (26) of Old Lane, Chadderton, was granted bail at Dundee Sheriff Court yesterday after being charged in connection with the find.
Tayside Police drugs squad officers recovered the during an operation in Dundee’s Victoria Street at 2.30pm on Tuesday.
Detective Inspector Adrian Robertson said: “This serves as further evidence of Tayside Police’s commitment to disrupt the distribution of heroin into our communities. This was a significant recovery and I am pleased that it won’t be reaching our streets.”
