Hunt for care home cash raiders
Date published: 26 January 2009
POLICE are hunting two raiders who stole cash from a care home in Shaw. The men entered the home on Cowlishaw Lane, at 6.25pm on Saturday and demanded cash from a 39–year-old woman working inside and grabbed two tins of money.
The men then ran back out of the house. No one was hurt but the staff member was left extremely shaken.
Two empty tins were recovered round the corner in Sarah Street a short time later. Det Cons Mark Tiffany from Oldham CID said: “Stealing money from a care home is despicable.”
