PUPILS at St Augustine’s RC School reflected on the suffering experienced by victims of Hitler’s regime to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
Students also used the time to think about the pain and suffering that people still inflict on each other today.
A pile of shoes was set up in a classroom to symbolise those who lost their lives in the Holocaust. The whole school watched a film made by Year Nine students.
Holocaust Memorial Day commemorates the tragic loss of life in the genocides of the Second World War and the conflicts in Cambodia, Bosnia, Rwanda and Darfur.
