LATICS captain Sean Gregan will face a trial over a charge of drink-driving.
The 34-year-old footballer appeared at Rochdale Magistrates Court yesterday where he pleaded not guilty and was granted unconditional bail until the trial on March 27.
Gregan, of Harrogate, was stopped in his VW Golf on the M62, near Rochdale, on October 3 last year.
Wearing a suit and tie, he spoke only to confirm his name and address.
The former Premiership player, whose previous clubs include Preston and West Bromwich Albion, signed for Latics from Leeds United in 2006.
