Store is shut down
Date published: 28 January 2009
Oldham’s Adams childrenswear store has closed — one of four across Greater Manchester.
It was one of a further 36 stores shut across the UK and Ireland by the administrators, PricewaterhouseCoopers, making 267 people redundant, following 111 closures and 850 job losses earlier this month.
The Oldham store, on the lower mall of the Spindles shopping centre, employed two full-time and 11 part-time staff. Bury, Leigh and Ashton stores have also closed. The administrators were appointed on New Year’s Eve.
