Thieves wreck toddlers’ playtime
Date published: 29 January 2009
THIEVES have ruined playtime for children at an Oldham pre-school.
They stole fence panels and a gate from the Stepping Stones Pre-School at Salem Moravian Church, in Lees Road, meaning the children have no secure outdoor play area.
Owner and manager Lyn Reilly said: “It must be adults because the fencing was bolted into concrete.
“We have not been able to have outdoor play for our 16 children, aged two and three, because we can’t afford to replace them.”
This is the second time yobs have attacked the fencing, setting fire to it in September.
