Man on threats charge
Date published: 30 January 2009
A ROYTON man has been charged with making threats to kill two police officers.
Michael McMonagle (46), of Broadbent Close, appeared at Oldham Magistrates’ Court yesterday where the case was adjourned for a committal hearing on March 17 at Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester. He was granted conditional bail.
The court heard that on December 3, last year, Mr McMonagle made the threats to an Inspector and a PC at his home address, which they took seriously.
