A LOCAL Catenian marked his 40 years in the Oldham Circle with a visit from the Grand President of the International Catenian Association.
Jim Mugan (74) from Derwent Drive, in Shaw, who served as president to the Oldham Circle in 1977 and again in 1984, was presented with a special certificate to mark his 40 years at the circle’s recent meeting at Werneth Cricket Club.
The association, which marked its 100th birthday last year, is an international Catholic brotherhood of professional men who socialise and raise money for charity.
Jim said: “I’ve made some fantastic friends over the years and it’s been lovely to meet so many people and raise money for charity.
“I’ve been honoured to be a part of the Catenians and the years have flown by. I hope there will be many more great times to come.”
