Pink Day helps cancer girls

A BREAST cancer sufferer put her battle with illness aside to raise money for teenage patients.
Susan Mangov-Jones organised a day of fundraising at Grange School, where she has taught for 28 years.
She organised a Pink Day with fellow members of staff and was delighted when the whole school supported the cause — including special pink snacks at break times.
Susan said: “In total we raised £1,500 so I’m thrilled. I really hope this money will make a difference to the young patients at The Christie Hospital. All our pupils were fantastic and were really eager to get involved and help other children who are less fortunate than themselves.”
With the money, the hospital can buy a FES machine — a muscle stimulant that can help patients walk and take part in normal activities much more easily.
