ON show . . . the Dachau sculpture and other works by Arthur Dooley at Gallery Oldham
OLDHAMERS have been flocking to take a look at an exhibition featuring the works of Arthur Dooley.
The exhibition, at Gallery Oldham, has Dachau — a powerful ragged figure of the crucified Christ created as a memorial to human suffering — as a centrepiece.
The sculpture has evoked memories from many visitors who first encountered the sculpture in Oldham in the 1960s.
Dinah Winch, curator of the Arthur Dooley exhibition is giving a free lunchtime talk on Dooley on Wednesday from 1pm.
