OLDHAM’S Mayor made a dash for cash as generous shopkeepers donated goods to help raise money for a host of local charities.
The Mayor, Councillor Shoab Akhtar came away laden with goodies after he took part in the trolley dash around the Spindles and Town Square shopping centres.
The treats will now become part of a huge tombola of goods which will be raffled off at the end of this month to raise money for the Mayor’s appeal.
