A police chief has warned householders in Grasscroft to be vigilant after a spate of burglaries.
There have been four burglaries reported in the Oldham Road-Mossley Road area since February 4.
During one offence in the early hours, the offenders were disturbed and made off in a silver Audi A3.
Promising increased police presence, Insp Danny Milovanovic stated in a note to the Greenfield and Grasscroft Residents Association: “I would remind residents to remain vigilant, and report any suspicious incidents to the police.”
The inspector said a male has been arrested and held in custody after being charged with a night time burglary of a dwelling, committed in Grasscroft on January 24.
