Two held in child-sex inquiry

Two Oldham men suspected of sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl have been arrested as part of Operation Messenger.
Police found a missing 14-year-old girl at an address in Roundthorn Road, Oldham, on Tuesday.
A 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, both from Oldham, were arrested on suspicion of sexual activity with a girl under 16, and possession of class B drugs. Both were bailed until May 3 for further inquiries.
Greater Manchester Police works in partnership with Oldham Council and Oldham Primary Care Trust to combat child exploitation.
Messenger works with children’s charity Barnardo’s to identify children who are potentially at risk from abuse and formulate a strategy aimed at helping these individuals.
