Abbie Webb with Coronation Street actor Paul David Gough
A UNIVERSITY student from Royton has been chosen as John and Kate photography’s “Face of 2008”.
Abbie Webb’s portrait was selected as the winner by David Johnson, founder and former director of Oldham Theatre Workshop and Britain’s most successful independent acting tutor to the stars.
The winning image was presented to the 18-year-old Leeds University student by “Coronation Street” actor Paul David Gough, who plays JD, and is currently romantically linked with barmaid Michelle, played by Kim Marsh.
The photograph was taken by John and Kate photography at the Royton studio along with many others over the year.
Abbie, who is studying law, also received a special prize which included an introductory acting course with Mr Johnson at his Manchester drama school.
He has recently returned from taking a production to Broadway and has worked closely with Danny Boyle, golden globe winner and director of “Slumdog Millionaire”.
John and Kate’s studio on Rochdale Road are now looking for a girl or boy to be its Face of 2009. Anyone interested should call 0161 665 2377.
